What is kept

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, such as the address a request came from, to run and protect the service. We do not use those logs to identify anyone, and we do not combine them with anything else. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers how it handles them.

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The salary you type is never sent anywhere.

Counting visits

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are read, roughly where from, and which site sent you. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not follow you across other sites, and does not identify you. We see totals, never individuals.

The buttons that take you to a vendor pass through a short page on this site first, so we can count how many readers go on to each vendor. It records nothing about you beyond that visit, and forwards you straight on.

Links to vendors

When you follow a link to a vendor, that vendor's own privacy policy applies from then on. If we ever add links that pay us a commission, the vendor may then know you arrived from this site. We will say so on this page and beside each such link before that happens.

If this changes

If we ever add anything that stores information on your device, this page will say what and why before it goes live. The anonymous visit counting above was added before the site first went public.
